Gmail Notifier 1.0 is an application for Windows XP/2000 that alerts you when you have new email messages in your Gmail Account. With an icon in the system tray lets you know if you have unread messages, and shows you their subjects, senders and snippets, all without having to open the web browser.
It´s not necessary to install the Gmail Notifier 1.0 if you have the Google Talk client installed, as you will automatically receive new mail notifications from Google Talk.
During installation, you can choose if you want Gmail Notifier to Run on Startup and if you want to use it with the Outgoing Mail. The required space to install it is 468 Kb.
You will then be prompted to introduce your user name and password to access your Gmail account.
Afterwards, the program will indicate its presence with a white envelope in the task bar. It will check your mailbox, and a message wil pop up when something arrives, telling you who emailed you and letting you see some lines of the message.
Double-clicking on the envelope will open the browser in Gmails page, and you will see your messages. |
- It´s simple to use and very small
